My New Normal
My New Normal
At the time of this writing, it’s been six months since PERCs. I’m not nearly as strong as I wish I was. There is still so much more recovery to be done. I’m still learning to balance school and my health. But, I have learned that while my job does get 100% when I’m present, I no longer give my life to it. There are far greater things that are more important. Making my health a priority helps me make other things a priority as well.
I attempt to exercise in some form for three hours a day. This includes getting 10,000 steps, using the vibration plate, stretching, balancing and gait practice with the Chatanooga Estim. I want to like exercise but I still desire to avoid it most days. The hard work is doing it anyway.
Here’s a list of things I’m still working on…
Correct Squatting
Solid one leg balance
The energy to just keep going
My goal weight (I’ve lost 37 lbs)
A healthy chain
Right sided one leg calf raise
